| No points for Dave Versluis in the Dutch Open in Rhenen Dave Versluis of the Frentec Champ Team just missed out on the points at round five of the Dutch Open Championship Series at Rhenen. In the first moto he was riding inside of the points till his rear brake broke and because of this he had to ride the rest of the moto without a rear brake. He gave everything he had but had to be satisfied with 25th position. In the second moto he started in 18th position but in the beginning of the race he lost a few positions and dropped back to 22nd position. Because his riding went not that well in the second moto he crossed the finish line in 22nd position.
The day in Rhenen started positive for Dave. In the beginning of practice he set the 11th fastest time but unfortunately several riders were putting a faster lap together than him and because of this he ended the session in 24th position. In the first moto he took a decent start and at the end of the first lap he came by start/finish in 18th position. Dave was riding inside of the top twenty in the beginning of the race but unfortunately he lost his rear brake and had to lower the pace. This cost him several positions and finally he crossed the finish line in 25th position. In the second moto he started in the middle of the pack but after a good first lap he came by start/finish in 18th position. In the beginning of the race he couldn’t find his rhythm and lost several positions. Dave was riding in 22nd position for a long time but missed the rhythm he needed to pass the riders in front of him. A little bit disappointed he finished the race in 22nd position. Unfortunately Dave didn’t score points in Rhenen. The next round of the Dutch Open Championship Series will be held at the 25th of September in Markelo. |
