Dave Versluis finishes inside op the top ten at Lommel

Dave Versluis of the Frentec Champ Team finished inside of the top ten at the international race at Lommel in Belgium last Sunday. In the first moto he took a bad start but he came back strong. Unfortunately he lost his clutch so he had to lower the pace a bit. He finally crossed the finish line in 12^th position. In the second moto he was riding in eight position for a long time. In the closing stages of the race he had a nice battle with the ninth place rider. Unfortunately he lost this battle to finish the race in ninth position.

The day started out not that well for Dave. He had a few problems with his bike so things didn’t turned out the way he wanted it to. After several laps he set the 16^th fastest time.

In the first moto he took a bad start but in the first few corner he already passed a lot of riders. In the following laps he worked his way by a few other riders but unfortunately he lost his clutch so he had to lower the pace. He tried to keep the pace as high as possible and finished the race in twelfth position.

In the second moto he took a bad start but in the first lap he made a lot of passes and worked his way up to tenth position. In the following laps he lost a few positions and dropped back to 13^th position again. Dave found his rhythm and fought his way back up to eight position. In the closing stages of the race he got a lot of pressure from the ninth place rider. Dave dropped back to ninth position but kept pushing and tried to take the eight position back. Despite his effort he crossed the finish line in ninth position.

Dave finished tenth overall and will race the 3 hours race in Deurne this weekend.
