Dave Versluis scores top ten moto finish at the Dutch Open in Heerde

Dave Versluis of the Frentec Champ Team has scored a top ten moto finish at the fourth round of the Dutch Open Championship Series at Heerde last Sunday. In the first moto he rode a great race and finished in tenth position. In the second moto he crashed in the start and finally came back to 19th position.

Dave started the free practice session with a good feeling on the bike. In the beginning of time practice he set the 12th fastest time. During the session he dropped some positions so he decided to go out again to try to improve on his fastest time. He managed to put a faster lap together and ended the session in 17th position.

Dave took a good start in the first moto and at the end of the first lap he came by start/finish in 15th position. In two laps time he had worked himself up to 10th position and in the rest of the race he managed to held on to this position. Dave crossed the chequered flag in tenth position and was the best 2 stroke rider in this race.

In the second moto he crashed in the first corner after the start and had to restart in last position. In the beginning of the race he struggled to find the right rhythm but after some 15 minutes things started to go better. In lap 11 he moved up into the points and finally he crossed the finish line in 19th position.

The rider from Assendelft scored 13 Dutch Open Championship points in Heerde. Overall he finished in 15th position. Round 5 of the series will be held at the 2nd of June in Rhenen.
