A top 15 position for Dave Versluis at the Dutch Open in Harfsen

Dave Versluis from the Frentec Champ Team finished one moto inside of the top fifteen at the final round of the Dutch Open Championship round at Harfsen last Sunday. In the first moto he was riding inside of the points till he made a small crash. This cost him several positions and finally he finished the race in 23rd position. In the second moto he took a poor start but he came back strong and finished the race in 15th position.

The track in Harfsen was well prepared and Dave was motivated to go out on the track. The track was really fast in practice and this wasn’t an advantage for Dave because he was riding aboard his KTM 144cc machine against the 4 stroke machines. After several fast laps he set the 24th fastest time.

In the first moto he took a decent start and went into the first corner around 22nd position. In the beginning of the race he worked himself up to 19th position. Disaster struck the rider from Assendelft because a crash ruined his chances of scoring points in the first moto. He finally finished the race in 23rd position.

In the second moto he took a poor start and at the end of the first lap he came by start/finish in 30th position. Dave started a charge and came back trough the field. In almost every laps he managed to pass a rider and after a well ridden race he crossed the finish line in 15th position.

Dave finished in 21st position overall and in the final Dutch Open Championship Standings he finished in 26th position. This weekend he will race the supercross in Schijndel.
