| Dave Versluis shows good speed at supercross in Hardenberg Dave Versluis of the Frentec Champ Team has qualified himself for both days at the supercross in Hardenberg last weekend. In the final on Saturday he was riding in fourth position when he got a mechanical problem and was forced to retire from the race. In the final on Sunday he crashed in the second lap. When he restarted he was way behind the group of riders so he couldn’t do more than finish the race.
On Saturday Dave had to qualify himself for the final in a 1 vs 1 competition over two laps. He took a good start and went into the first corner in first position. Dave made no mistakes and won the race. In the final he took a good start and after several laps he moved into fourth position. Disaster struck the rider from Assendelft because in the middle of the race he got a mechanical problem and was forced to retire from the race On Sunday he set the seventh fastest time in time practice. In the semi final things were not going that well for Versluis but he still managed to qualify himself directly for the final. In the final he took a poor start and came out of the first corner around 15th position. In the second lap he made a crash and lost a lot of time on the group of riders who were riding in front of him. Dave couldn’t do more than finish the race and crossed the finish line in 14th position. Dave’s next race will be the supercross in Winschoten on December the 29th and 30th.
