| Dave Versluis in the top ten in the British UEM 125cc round Dave Versluis of the Frentec Champ Team finished inside of the top ten at the penultimate round of the European Championship Series at Matterley Basin in Great Britain. In the first moto he took a not so good start but came back strong and still managed to finish the race in ninth position. In the second moto he started in the top five but he struggled to find his rhythm and finished the race in eight position. With these positions he finished ninth overall in the British European Championship round.
The weekend started positively for Dave because in the free practice session he felt himself at home on the circuit and posted the tenth fastest time. In time practice he was in fourteenth position for a while. In the closing stages of the session he decided to go out again and managed to improve himself on his fastest lap time. He finally ended the session in 11th position. In the first moto he didn’t took a good start and went midpack into the first corner. In the beginning he managed to pass a lot of riders and moved into tenth position. During the race he passed another two riders but in the closing of the race he lost a position and finally finished the race in ninth position. The start of the second moto was really good and he came out of the first corner in fourth position. During the first lap he lost two positions and dropped back to sixth position. In this moto he struggled to find his rhythm and because of this he lost the leaders out of his sights. During the race he lost two more positions and finally finished the race in eight position. Overall he finished in eight position. With still one round to go he sits in tenth position in the European Championship Standings. The last round of the series will be held on September, 11th in Fermo, Italy. |
